India successfully defended their T20 Men’s World Cup title yesterday, defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the T20 World Cup final in Ahmedabad to lift the trophy for the third time. It turned out to be a one-sided contest, with Team India dominating the match from start to finish and sending the entire country into celebration.
The stadium in Ahmedabad witnessed a strong celebrity presence, with several cricket legends and Bollywood personalities turning up to cheer for the team. From Preity Zinta, Aparshakti Khurana and Sonal Chauhan to many others, several stars were spotted at the venue soaking in the big moment. Also present were cricket legends Kapil Dev, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.
Soon after India’s historic win, many celebrities also took to social media to celebrate the victory and congratulate the team.
