Natalie Portman Welcomes Baby With Partner Tanguy Destable

Natalie Portman has embraced motherhood once again, welcoming her third child and her first baby with partner Tanguy Destable. The 45-year-old actor reportedly gave birth in Paris last month, according to a source cited by People.

The newborn joins Portman’s two children, son Aleph, 15, and daughter Amalia, 9. She shares both children with her former husband, director and choreographer Benjamin Millepied.

Portman had revealed that she was expecting her third child during an interview in the month of April. At the time, she spoke openly about her happiness and gratitude over welcoming a baby with Destable.

“Tanguy and I are very excited. I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle,” she told the publication.

The actor also acknowledged that pregnancy and parenthood can be complicated experiences for many, saying she was conscious of the challenges some people face while trying to conceive. Portman recalled growing up hearing about difficulties with fertility and knowing people in her own circle who had experienced such struggles.

“It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing,” she said, adding that she felt “very aware” of how fortunate she was.

Speaking about motherhood during her third pregnancy, Portman reflected on how her perspective had evolved over the years. She said she had developed a stronger appreciation for the experience and had become more conscious of the people and energy she wanted around her.

“There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp,” Portman said.

The actor also admitted that the possibility of this being her final pregnancy made the experience particularly meaningful. “Knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment,” she shared.

 

Portman’s relationship with Destable was first publicly confirmed by People in March 2025. The French musician is now a father for the first time with Portman, while the actor continues to raise her two older children from her previous marriage.

 

The latest addition marks a new chapter in Portman’s personal life as she becomes a mother of three.
