Mohanlal’s upcoming Malayalam film Athimanoharam has reached an important milestone, with the makers announcing that filming has officially been completed. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film stars Meera Jasmine as the female lead and has been generating interest among Malayalam cinema audiences since it was announced.
Producer Ashiq Usman shared the pack-up news on Instagram, bringing the film another step closer to its eventual theatrical release. He posted a short update that read, “Athimanoharam pack up #á´á´Êœá´€É´ÊŸá´€ÊŸ.”
With principal photography now complete, the project has moved firmly into its post-production phase. Dubbing had already begun in August, indicating that the team had been progressing with the next stage of production even as filming was being completed.
Shooting Reaches The Finish Line
Athimanoharam has gone through an extensive production schedule across multiple locations. The scale of the shoot had previously been highlighted by Tharun Moorthy, who shared an update in June after another schedule was completed.
At the time, the director revealed that approximately 80 per cent of the filming had been completed. He also acknowledged the demanding conditions faced by the cast and crew during production, particularly the changing weather.
“Yet another perfect schedule wrapped up! Through rain, heat, and every challenge along the way, my team has been in terrific form,” he had written.
“With nearly 80% of the shoot now complete, we’re entering the final stretch. Just a few more days to go, and the excitement is building every single day,” the director said.
Moorthy had also mentioned that the team had covered several locations during the shoot and that a number of actors had completed their portions. With the final schedule now wrapped, the film can focus entirely on post-production and the finishing touches required before its release.

Dubbing Is Already Underway
The transition into post-production had begun even before the final pack-up announcement. In August, Ashiq Usman revealed that dubbing for Athimanoharam had commenced, sharing a picture from the process on his Instagram Stories. “‘Athimanoharam’ dubbing started today.”
The development means the makers are already working on the film’s sound and dialogue portions, while other post-production work continues alongside it. The completion of filming also puts the project in a stronger position as the team works towards announcing further details about its release.
Athimanoharam had previously attracted attention for reasons unrelated to its progress. Reports had surfaced online claiming that production had been halted because of confusion surrounding the screenplay. Tharun Moorthy subsequently dismissed those reports, making it clear that filming was continuing as planned.
In an Instagram Stories post, the filmmaker wrote, “This is completely false.”
He explained that the team had already spent 78 days shooting in Thodupuzha at the time, while admitting that rain and other weather conditions had caused some practical difficulties. Despite those challenges, he said the crew remained committed to completing the film.

“Our team is working hard to overcome every challenge and continue filming with great enthusiasm and positivity,” he said. Moorthy also urged people to verify information before sharing it online, particularly when it concerned an ongoing production. “I kindly request everyone not to post or spread unverified information for personal likes, views, or reach,” he wrote.
The project was initially introduced under the working title #L366. Mohanlal plays a police officer named T S Lovelajan, adding another interesting character to the actor’s diverse filmography.
With the cameras now switched off and dubbing already in progress, Athimanoharam has entered the final leg of its journey. The next major updates are likely to come from the post-production process and, eventually, the announcement of its release plans.
