King 100: Nagarjuna Personifies Swag in First Look

On the occasion of Nagarjuna Akkineni’s birthday on Saturday, the makers of his landmark 100th film, titled King 100 unveiled his first look poster. Living up to the fans’ expectations, he looks rugged, messy hair, shades on…lighting a cigar. The glimpse effectively showcases his attitude and personality, instantly making his character intriguing.

Story of rags to riches

The one and half minute video introduces Nagarjuna in a stylish, larger-than-life avatar.  “There are two types of people in this society. Those who have money and those who don’t. When I didn’t had money, they called me a loser. When I amassed wealth, they called me a King. But this identity is more powerful than money. To uphold this identity, I have to keep running,” says Nagarjuna, giving his perspective on the world…as he takes us through to the world of King100. From being called a loser to be hailed as The King after amassing wealth, he endures it all.

The mystery element

A news report of a staggering 50,000 crore scam, accompanying Nagarjuna’s picture builds a layer of curiosity and mystery to the narrative. No sooner the glimpse was out, fans lauded Nag’s look and commented that the title (King 100) was apt for this kind of the script. They added that he had chosen a script that is tailor-made for his stardom.

The glimpse of video definitely suggests more than what meets the eye. Nagarjuna appears to be stylish and dynamic, and at the same time, he looks like a conman accused of pulling off the “biggest scam” in the country. Director Ra Karthik gives Nagarjuna a striking presentation, while his narrative approach appears to be fresh, intriguing and promising. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad’s score elevates the impact, perfectly complementing the visuals and the premise.

Overall, the glimpse of King 100 has certainly struck a chord with fans and audiences…significantly raising the expectations. Tabu plays a pivotal role in the movie but her identity has not been revealed in the glimpse. Directed by Ra Karthik, King 100, which is progressing at a brisk pace, is set for release on December 24, 2026.
