Janhvi Kapoor Reacts To Indian-Pakistan Conflict

Janhvi Kapoor has recently opened up on the India-Pakistan conflict and shared her take on the ongoing war. Taking to social media, the actor noted that she has been witnessing the coverage unfolding on news channels and social media. Noting that "last night felt like they were something out of a movie," Janhvi shared that she experienced anxiety due to the chaos at the borders.

The Devara actress wrote, "The visuals that unfolded on news channels and social media last night felt like they were something out of a movie, something I never fathomed I'd see in this lifetime happening on Indian soil. It was a kind of anxiety I had never experienced before. And it made me think of all the times we'd remark on foreign conflicts from a safe distance and call for an end to any and all kinds of confrontation between countries. But this time it's at our doorstep."

She added, "And I have experienced every beat of rage and pain that has led to this confrontation, to this defensive. But still the threat to innocent lives on both sides paralyses me with fear. In my heart and in my mind, the persecution of an innocent life is the highest order of sin no matter what the reason for them to be collateralized. It is against the very fabric of being Indian. We by nature, by history, are never the aggressors. We don't invade, we don't enforce ourselves into places and onto people that don't welcome us. We are India. And yesterday after decades of being at the receiving end of cowardly attacks we chose to hit back. We finally said enough. The might, power and strength of our armed forces was never any secret. But yesterday, despite the terror and uncertainty of what may unfold, there was a sense of security."

Praising our defense forces, Janhvi said, "Our Air Force; our Navy, our Army, their bravery and their prowess will prevail and they won't let a single Indian come in the way of harm. They are protecting us, our soil and our sovereignty. I salute our forces, I am in awe of you. We pray for your safety."

The actress also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued support. Ending her note, she urged Indians to stay united while praying that the country emerges "stronger than before-teaching our neighbours that we will no longer turn a blind eye to their anarchy."
