Rohit Shetty is well known for his cop universe. The film franchise has several popular and prominent actors such as Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff among others. Now, we are getting to know that there are some new additions to the cop verse.As per reports, Tamannaah Bhatia and John Abraham are teaming up for a biographical drama directed by Rohit Shetty. The film is supposedly based on the life of Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. While John will play Rakesh, Tamannaah is set to play the role of his wife, Preeti Maria. It is reportedly based on Maria's autobiography, Let Me Say It Now. This would mark John and Tamannaah's second collaboration after Vedaa and their first collaboration with Shetty.
As per a source quoted by Mid-Day, "Preeti supported him through some of the most dangerous and testing moments of his career." In his 36-year career, Maria played an important role in the police force and handled several high-profile cases, including the 1993 Mumbai blasts and 26/11 terror strikes.

According to the information we have, the filming has already begun in Mumbai, and it will happen across 40 locations. The yet untitled film will be released in theatres next year.

Meanwhile, John Abraham was last seen in the film The Diplomat which was released last month. He also has Tehran and Tariq in the pipeline. Tamannaah, on the other hand, can currently be seen in Odela 2. After this, she will be seen in Ranger with Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt.
