Pictures: Akshay Kumar R Madhavan and Ananya Panday Head To Amritsar Ahead Of Kesari 2

Some time back, Filmfare exclusively reported that the cast of Kesari 2 would visit Amritsar to attend a special event at Jallianwala Bagh and today, the actors were clicked at the airport before jetting off to their destination.

Kesari 2 is based on the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film follows C Sankaran Nair, an advocate played by Akshay Kumar, who questions General Dyer in court after the massacre. R Madhavan’s character is introduced as opposition lawyer Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday plays the role of Dilreet Gill.

The lead actors were clicked at the airport in the city today as they headed to Amritsar. For the event, Akshay looked sharp in a powder-blue shirt and trousers of the same colour. Madhavan was dressed in an all-white ensemble that consisted of a kurta and pants. Ananya, on the other hand, looked pretty in a peach-coloured salwar suit with floral motifs on the dupatta.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 will be released on April 18, 2025.
