For Marvel's upcoming film Thunderbolts*, Florence Pugh had to shoot a scene where her character jumps off the second tallest building in the world. The actress recently revealed that she did not use a stunt double for the scene.
She revealed that she emailed Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about not using a stunt double. "I got on all the emails. It was in the script, and then slowly as we got closer and closer to shooting, they said they don’t think it’s going to happen because it’s a crazy insurance ordeal and obviously we’re not going to throw (me) off the second tallest building in the world. I was like what the f**k? Of course we are! We have to do that," said Pugh.

She continued that she repeatedly told Feige that it would do wonders for their press tour. Florence added, "I was being a sassy Karen emailing Kevin and saying it’s going to do wonders for the press tour. We have to do this! We’re going to have three women break three different Guinness World Records and we’ll do this and this. I had to keep on pushing and then they’re like, ‘Okay, if you want to fall off the second tallest building, we’ll figure it out for you.’ I don’t mind heights. I quite like them and enjoy them, but that was a whole different ballgame and insane. The mental control I had to do that day was its own superpower."
In one of the behind-the-scenes clip released by the makers, Florence Pugh was seen preparing for one of the boldest sequences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. The scene is set at Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—the second-tallest building in the world. Pugh, who reprises her role as the sharp and skilled Yelena Belova, is seen harnessed up, beaming with excitement just moments before initiating a base jump from the towering skyscraper.

Directed by Jake Schreier and also starring Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell and Olga Kurylenko, Thunderbolts* will be released theatrically on May 1.
