Blackpinks Lisa makes stunning Oscars 2025 DEBUT joins James Bond tribute

The 97th Academy Awards is underway at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Among the many celebrities attending is Blackpink's Lisa who made a breathtaking debut this year. After walking the red carpet, the K-pop idol also joined a star-studded line-up of artistes as she took to the stage to pay tribute to James Bond.

Lisa's head-turning Oscars 2025 debut

Lisa recently made her acting debut in The White Lotus Season 3. Within weeks of the show's release, the actress is making waves with her Oscars 2025 appearance. For her red-carpet look, Lisa opted for a stylish Markgong ensemble that merged the timeless elegance of a full-length gown and a classic tuxedo. The sleek black and white look teased her performance later in the evening, which paid homage to the iconic spy character James Bond.

The black tailored tuxedo gown was complete with a notch lapel collar, structured shoulders, full-length sleeves, and a floor-length hem. Layered under the tuxedo, Lisa wore a formal white shirtdress with buttons on the front. The look was paired with flared high-waist bell-bottom pants and finished with a red floral brooch for a pop of colour. 

For her makeup look, Lisa opted for pink glossy lips, a classic winged eyeliner, dewy highlighter, and a bit of tint on the cheeks. She styled her hair in classic fringes with the rest of her hair effortlessly brushed back. Her look was detailed down to the black and white nails.

The Oscars ceremony paused amidst winner announcements for a special James Bond tribute. Blackpink's Lisa performed at the Oscars for the first time ever. The K-pop idol and rapper took over the stage to deliver a dazzling performance. She made a jaw-dropping entrance on a harness and sang Live and Let Die from the Bond film franchise. As usual, Lisa’s vocals were on point. A fan took to X to share their reaction and wrote, “Oh my God Lisa's vocals are insane. I'm crying I'm so proud of you Lisa.” However, many were left confused by the James Bond tribute and questioned why the show’s producers added the section.

Apart from Lisa, Doja Cat performed to Diamonds are Forever and Raye sang Skyfall. Earlier, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo opened the show with a Wizard of Oz-themed medley.
