Sharad Kelkar has recently opened up on his excitement for the festival of lights, Diwali. The actor shared his take on the true meaning of Diwali, while speaking about his new project, Legend of Hanuman. “For me, a festival like Diwali is a timely reminder about how goodness has the final say over evilness and by giving my voice for a layered character like Ravan in the Legend of Hanuman has made me realize the virtues of Ram where he can strive to any lengths to show his goodness and stand by it,” he said.
Kelkar further opened up on celebrating Diwali with his family. From homemade food to performing traditional rituals, he revealed being invested in the celebrations as much as his family members. "Celebrating Diwali is all about spending quality time with my wonderful family and intimate friends circle, relishing homemade ‘pakawn’, ‘desi ghee ke laddoo’ and ‘puran poli’ followed by a small ‘pooja’ at home where we all gather and pray and this year also it is going to be the same where we will have gratitude in our hearts and minds for whatever good has happened and the goodness the future holds for us,” the Tanhaji star noted.
Sharad also wished his fans on Diwali. "I would like to wish everyone a Happy Diwali where we can lighten our lives and others' lives as well with optimism and hope," he added.
