Ryan Reynolds reveals a musical sequence was cut from Deadpool and Wolverine

We are only a few days away from the release of Deadpool & Wolverine. As the buzz around the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer increases, fresh details about the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe have emerged.

At a press conference, Ryan Reynolds who reprises his role as Deadpool opened up about a musical sequence that was in the initial pitch. He jokingly said that there was a dance number of Wolverine naked that was cut. He then went on to share the original idea. "[In] an earlier pitch of the film, there was a dance number with [Jackman] set to Elton John's 'I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues,’” he said.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s highly-anticipated onscreen reunion is one of the biggest highlights of the MCU film. Opening up about their bond, Reynolds shared, “There are scenes where it's pretty hard to distinguish between Wade talking to Logan and Ryan talking to Hugh."

Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine also features Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfayden, Jennifer Garner, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, and more. The film will release in theatres on July 26, 2024.
