Anurag Kashyap is back with a children's film after 17 years. His latest production, Little Thomas, will have its world premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Directed by Kaushal Oza, the movie features Gulshan Devaiah and Rasika Duggal, along with child actor Hridansh Parekh.
Set in 90s Goa, Little Thomas follows a seven-year-old boy's amusing efforts to get his quarrelling parents to kiss so he can have a baby brother. Anurag was drawn to the script due to its genuine portrayal of a child’s perspective.
Gulshan Devaiah, who has worked with Anurag before, described the film as sweet and cute. Rasika Duggal praised the script's simplicity and humour. Director Kaushal Oza highlighted the challenge of finding the perfect child actors, auditioning over 700 kids.
The film promises a heartwarming, innocent story. Little Thomas is produced by Luminoso Pictures, Civic Studios, Flip Films, and Good Bad Films.
