If there's one star who has a true Pan-India fan following it's Sunny Deol. Fans and movie buffs witnessed that fact last year when Sunny's last release Gadar 2 amassed Rs 691 crores at the box-office and became one of the biggest hits of the year. The success of Gadar 2 has resulted in Sunny Deol's popularity soaring across the country and the latest development in his career is a new collaboration with Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni.
Sunny took to social media and announced the new action movie with a new poster titled 'SDGM'. The actor's social media post was captioned as, "Make way for the biggest action film of the country - #SDGM. Starring Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol. Directed by @dongopichand. Produced by @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafactory. MASS FEAST LOADING! Shoot begins soon".
Reports indicate that the film's shooting will begin on June 22 and the cast could include actresses Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra. S Thaman will compose the film's music, while the cinematography will be helmed by Rishi Punjabi. The movie will be edited by Naveen Nooli.
Sunny Deol has also been shooting with director Rajkumar Santoshi for Lahore 1947, which is co-produced Aamir Khan. Preity Zinta is slated to feature in the film as well. Deol will also start work on a sequel to Border, later this year. Border 2 might release in theatres in 2026.
