Popular romantic-comedy series Xo, Kitty which became an instant hit since its premiere in May, has been renewed for a second season. The series is a spin-off to the All the Boys film trilogy which is based on a book series by Jenny Han, who also serves as creator of the series.Xo, Kitty stars Anna Cathcart playing the titular character, Kitty Song Covey with Minyeong Choi as Dae, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Quincy also known as Q and Gia Kim portraying Yuri.
On Wednesday, the makers of the series posted an announcement video with all the cast members and wrote, "pssst... XO, KITTY IS RENEWED FOR SEASON 2, pass it on!!!" The video featured the cast of the series passing notes with the words 'XO, KITTY SEASON 2 IS COMING' written on them." Concluding the video, Anna said, "Thank you so much to everyone who watched season one. We cannot wait to do it again."
The first season of the spinoff series made its debut at number two on the streaming platform's viewing list and managed to remain in the top ten list for four consecutive weeks.
The official synopsis of the romantic dramedy reads, "A new love story unfolds when teen matchmaker Kitty reunites with her long-distance boyfriend at the same boarding school attended by her late mother." The show features Katherine aka Kitty embark on a journey to Seoul to find out about herself and achieve her desired happy ending.
