Adipurush breaks records of Brahmastra on its way to a historic opening day collection

Adipurush premiered in Hyderabad at 4 am, and pre-sales ended at midnight on Thursday and Friday. The Om Raut movie is expected to break numerous records because of the fantastic response to Adipurush ticket sales thus far. Adipurush sold tickets worth more than Rs 25 crore on its first day alone as of Thursday night, spanning all languages. This surpasses films like Brahmastra and Ponniyin Selvan 1, although it still trails blockbusters like KGF Chapter 2, RRR, and Pathaan by a significant margin. It is the fourth-highest advance booking number for all Indian films released after the pandemic.

The most encouraging sign is that Adipurush's advance sales have surpassed those of Prabhas' previous film, Radhe Shyam (Rs. 23.22 crore). This indicates that on its first day, it might generate around Rs 75–80 crore in net revenue in India. Given Prabhas' star power in Telugu, more than half of Adipurush's earnings from advance booking have come from that version, but the Hindi version has also had substantial increase over the past week. The movie has sold more than 15 lakh tickets overall.

Despite Adipurush's lack of an IMAX release, audiences seem to like 3D performances. In sum, ticket sales for 3D movies account for around 80 per cent of the movie's overall worldwide box office success.

Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh all appear in Om Raut's Adipurush. The Ramayana-based movie reportedly cost the most money to produce in Bollywood and features a lot of visual effects. On June 16, the movie will have a wide release on over 6500 screens in India, including 4000 specifically for the Hindi language.
