Recently, a video of Alia Bhatt at the Met Gala 2023 surfaced on Reddit. In the video, the New York paparazzi mistakenly identified her as Aishwarya Rai. This was Alia's first appearance at the prestigious fashion event, and she seemed to handle the red carpet with confidence.
Alia Bhatt looked breathtaking in her ball gown by atelier Prabal Gurung. The dress was made of ivory silk tulle and satin face organza and had an exaggerated basque waist and hand-beaded pearls. Alia made her entrance at the event with the designer, but some of the paparazzi mistakenly referred to her as Aishwarya, as heard in the video.

Despite being mistakenly called Aishwarya, Alia Bhatt remained composed and paused for the cameras, flashing a smile. Prabal Gurung then helped her with the dress before she walked off.
Alia had earlier in the day explained the inspiration for her white dress. Taking to Instagram she wrote, "I have always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in the most innovative and awe-inspiring couture. My look tonight was inspired from this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look. I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met." Keeping with the theme of the gala, she paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is all set to make her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
