If 2020 was a revelation, the biggest takeaway for all of us has been that it’s the simplest of things that matter the most. The last year has been a major trial for couples and they’ve unlocked new depths to their relationship because of it – they’ve discovered a level of strength, resilience, and compassion that they didn’t know their relationship had. Newly-wed couples feel like they’ve already lived a lifetime because of this – it typically takes ages for couples to reach this stage. But this journey has given couples a sense of assurance and optimism to look to the future with open arms because they know that having been through this time, with their partner by their side, they’re ready to take on anything that may come their way, who stood strong in the face of all the odds that 2020 brought with it, and resolved to make their tomorrows brighter. This campaign is brought in by Platinum Days of Love by Platinum Guild Of India (PGI).
The campaign's video series features three couples who take us through their trajectory of love, share what makes them #StrongerInLove, and why together is the best place for them to be. Newly-weds Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are one of the featured couples, who reveal how they grew together from strength to strength by each other's sides.

“Our relationship only started last year, but, in that duration, it feels like we’ve lived a lifetime,” Gauahar said. “There was so much uncertainty, so much stress; but having Zaid by my side was such a source of comfort. He was strong for me when I couldn’t be, and I think I was the same for him. It’s true that we’ve only been together for about a year but, in that time, we’ve added a depth to our relationship that it would otherwise have taken us eons to reach.”
Karthik Nagarajan, Chief Content Officer, Wavemaker India, also believes that 2020 was, in a way, a renewal of vows for many relationships. “As we begin a new decade, there is no better way to do that than with #Strongerinlove. It is a beautiful celebration of love and content that we are very proud to have been a part of,” he added.
If you’ve made it through the last year, it’s no ordinary feat – it is truly rare and remarkable; and that is definitely a milestone worth marking, shares Sujala Martis, Director - Consumer Marketing, Platinum Guild International – India. “2021 marks a milestone for couples that have overcome the worst of the crisis together. It’s like a decade of understanding and nurturing a relationship got squeezed into the past 11 months. It has left couples with a sense of gratefulness, appreciation and stability, a feeling of - if we could make through this then we are rock solid and can handle anything the future throws at us,” she further added.
The latest collection of Platinum Love Bands celebrates a love so rare, and is available to purchase across 1,200+ leading jewellery retail stores in India from the February 1 to February 20, 2021. You can check the collection here.
