With the break of the novel Coronavirus, movie theatres were the first to shut down. Group viewing of films was the first to get affected and is sure to go under modifications even when the worldwide lockdown is eased. With the theatres all set to open in some time, several production houses are announcing reformed release dates.
Two summer releases that were affected by the lockdown are Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson. The films were initially supposed to release in August and July respectively but have not been moved to suit the new lockdown timeline.
Warnder Bros. announced a two week delay in Tenet’s release and the film will now hit the theatres on June 31. Whereas, Wonder Woman 1984 has been moved from August to October 2.
Another film in the pipeline is Walt Disney’s Mulan that is scheduled for July 24 and will be one of first films to release post lockdown.
