The coronavirus pandemic has taken a stronghold over the world right now. Thousands are dying each day and another victim of the deadly virus is actor Andrew Jack, of the Star Wars fame. Jack passed away two days after testing positive for coronavirus. Aged 76, he succumbed to the virus at a hospital near London. Post the diagnosis, the actor's wife, Gabrielle Rogers, was kept in quarantine as she was instructed to socially isolate herself. Given the circumstances, Gabrielle was unable to say her final goodbye to her husband. Considering the social distancing rule, the family is contemplating whether a full funeral is feasible.
Gabrielle took to social media to share the news along with a picture of the actor. She wrote, "It breaks my heart to let you know we lost a man today. Andrew Jack was diagnosed with coronavirus when admitted to hospital less than 48 hours ago in suburban London. He died today. He was in no pain, and he slipped away peacefully knowing that his children, step children, grandchildren, brother, friends, and I were all with him. Take care out there, lovers x."
The actor also worked as a dialect coach on The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. He recently started working with the cast of Robert Pattinson starrer The Batman. The production of the film was suspended last month because of the ongoing health crisis.
Rest in peace, Andrew Jack…
