Kanika Kapoor, of Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan fame, has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. After being tested positive for COVID 19, there’s been less of sympathy and more of an outburst against her.
Given the COVID 19 threat, the singer received backlash for allegedly being irresponsible and hiding her travel history and attending parties post her return from London. Reportedly, she has been booked under Sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station in Lucknow.
Kanika, who’s being treated against coronavirus at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow, is now said to be out of the ICU. She’s still kept in self-isolation. The singer hopes to be tested negative next time, so that she can meet her kids and family. She took to her Instagram profile and wrote yesterday, “Going off to bed. Sending you all loving vibes. Stay safe you guys. Thank you for your concern but I am not in the ICU. I am fine. I hope my next test is negative. Waiting to go home to my kids and family. Miss them!”
