While we’re all excited for Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak to hit the screens, it seems that Bollywood’s leading lady is all set to sign another project. Rumours going around is that she’ll star opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra’s next. After making a mark in his debut film Gully Boy, people have high expectations from Siddhant and this project definitely seems to be a step in the right direction for the actor.
Talking about the film, the untitled project is said to be a modern day love story which revolves around the life of two couples. While Shakun is keen on casting Deepika and Siddhant as one couple, reports claim that he’s yet to decide on which actors to approach for the second pair. The film is expected to go on floors in March 2020 and will be shot in India. The project will be backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Shakun Batra made his directorial debut back in 2012 with Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. His 2016 release Kapoor and Sons, went on to become a critical as well as commercial success.
