Kartik Aaryan is back on the big screen for the second time this year. This time it's the tale of a married man, who loses interest in his wife and finds himself attracted to a young girl from Delhi. Set in Lucknow and Kanpur, the film stars Bhumi Pednekar as the wife and Ananya Panday as Kartik’s love interest outside marriage. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film has been getting a bit of slack because of its supposed misogynistic plot line. But that hasn’t stopped our audience from flocking to the theatres in big numbers.

Opening with Rs. 9.10 crore this Friday, Pati Patni Aur Woh looked promising and people deemed it a success right away. Word of mouth and given the actors’ popularity, the film added another Rs. 12.33 to its collection on Saturday, making Rs. 21.43 in just two days of its release. Made with a mediocre budget, PPAW is sure to taste success within the first week itself.

As far as competition at the box-office is concerned for this one, Panipat is the only release this week. The film hasn’t started off with great numbers despite the praise it got from the critics.
