Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Chhapaak is without a doubt a special film. The actress will be seen in a role of an acid attack survivor. The film is inspired by the story of Laxmi Aggarwal, who was a victim of this cruel act. Earlier, we had revealed that the trailer of the film will be released on December 10. Interestingly, December 10 is also World Human Rights Day.
In an interview with a leading daily, Meghna Gulzar said that it is a nice coincidence that the trailer launch day coincides World Human Rights Day, keeping in mind the film’s theme. The filmmaker also said that Deepika was the perfect choice for her film. She said that she’s very appreciative of her craft and probably wouldn’t have even made the film without her.
Chhapaak also stars the supremely talented Vikrant Massey in lead and is slated to release on January 10.
