Basanti - (Sholay)
Alia Bhatt
Basanti is feisty, talkative and quite stern when it comes to putting across her point. The jovial character has shades of fun and anger in equal portions. An actress we feel would do complete justice to this full of life character in the one and only Alia Bhatt. We think she has the capaticity to absolutely naile this character with her on-point dialogue delivery. Don't you agree?Geeta and Seeta - (Seeta Aur Geeta)
Janhvi Kapoor
Seeta Aur Geeta is one of the most entertaining films of all times. A story about twins who are separated at the time of their birth and go on to lead totally different lives was a big hit during its time. While one is tortured by her aunt, the other becomes a street performer, destiny takes a sharp turn when they switch their lives. Hema Malini did a double role in the film which late Sridevi gave a twist to in ChaalBaaz and now with Janhvi Kapoor stepping up her game, we think she would be an apt choice to take the tradition forward. Sapna - (Dream Girl)
Anushka Sharma
This one is definitely the most iconic character of Hema Malini. The actress her loved title of Dream Girl from the film's name that was a massive success. The film revolves around Sapna, who cons people to fund an orphanage. The story is truly heart-touching and we feel that Anushka Sharma's acting prowess would come out in full-power if the stunner would ever step into the shoes of Sapna. Meera - (Meera)
Deepika Padukone
Hema Malini took on the role of Meera, who was shown as a Rajput princess madly in love with Lord Krishna, so much so that she believed that she is his wife. Essaying a part so pure yet full of emotions would be best suited for Deepika Padukone and her eyes that speak a thousand words we feel. Deepika would truly look surreal as a Rajput princess and we don't have an qualms about that. What do you feel?Razia Sultan - (Razia Sultan)
Kangana Ranaut
Yesteryear actress Hema Malini stunned the audience with her performance in 1983 release Razia Sultan. The film was about the first woman ruler of Delhi, and Hema Malini essayed the part to perfection. With valour in her eyes and strength in her soul she fought for her right. We think out of the actressess of today's time, Kangana Ranaut would sink herself in the role like no one else. Do tell us in the comments section below if you feel we did justice to these classic Hema Malini's roles by casting them afresh.
