Rajkummar Rao reveals why he stepped out of Dostana 2

Rajkummar Rao is one talented actor. The powerful performer has proved his mettle time and again and today stands tall with an impressive filmography backing his talent. But being a successful actor comes with its share of problems and one such issue is of having too less time to do everything that's offered to you. Rajkummar Rao was offered Dharma Productions' next Dostana 2 which now stars Janhvi Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and newcomer Lakshya. However, the actor recently revealed during an interview what made him step out of the much-awaited sequel.

Talking about Karan Johar and why he couldn't do Dostana 2, he said, “Karan is one of the finest filmmakers in the country. I hope something works out soon and I’m pretty sure it will."

He added, "My next project, opposite Priyanka Chopra, will be shot during the same time. But it’s a great script and Colin D’Cunha, the director, is my classmate from FTII." Well, someone's loss is another's gain, isn't it?
