A great time to celebrate films, the 21st edition of Jio MAMI Film Festival is currently going on and has several Bollywood stars marking their presence. Opening the event was actress Deepika Padukone who spoke about her kind of movies and roles. For the unversed, Padukone has been appointed as the new chairperson of MAMI, replacing Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao. The big announcement was made in January this year. Present at the event, DP was asked about what according to her is the difference between Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor’s acting style.
Commenting on that, Deepika first talked about Kapoor and told, “Ranbir doesn’t really have a process; he is very spontaneous. I have never really seen him ‘prepare’ for his role as such. He’s like me in that respect. Our approach is 50% rehearsed and 50% spontaneous.”
Further, revealing about husband Singh, the actress told, “Ranveer, really gets into the process. He changes everything for the role – right from the car he drives, to the clothes and the perfume he wears. He’s a different person every six months, which is probably one of the reasons why our relationship has lasted so long; I never get bored.”
On the work front, Deepika will be reuniting with Ranveer on the big screen in Kabir Khan’s ’83. The sports drama features the Padmaavat actor playing the role of cricket legend Kapil Dev while the diva will play his on-screen wife – Romi Dev in the film.
