Everyone’s looking forward to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra ever since it was announced in 2017. Especially because it will feature the real-life couple, Alia and Ranbir together for the first time. Interestingly, the film has been shot over a period of time from Varanasi to Bulgaria to Mumbai. And now, reportedly, Alia and Ranbir will soon be heading to Manali to kick off another shooting schedule of their film which boasts of high-end VFX and a huge budget on which it's mounted on.
According to the report in the daily, the two actors will be taking off to the hills for a 15-day shoot schedule in November where the team will be shooting an important part of Shiva’s (Ranbir’s character in Brahmastra) life, where Shiva will discover his origin and the journey of self-discovery will start. Each shooting location of Brahmastra holds a special place in the narrative of the film. Alia will play the character of Isha, who will be Shiva’s love interest and will join him on this journey to self-discovery. The source told the daily, “Ranbir, Alia and the entire cast will fly to Manali in November for a 15-day shoot. Every location carries Shiva’s (RK’s character) story forward. Manali, too, plays an important role in the screenplay. All the locations in India that feature in the story reference the central characters. During the Manali schedule, the story of Shiva’s origin and self-discovery will be traced.”
Karan Johar, producer of Brahmastra had earlier announced that the film will be a trilogy. The first part will showcase Shiva’s character discovering his power to generate fire from his palms. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is expected to release in 2020.
